Role Overview

Join our Project Execution team as a Site Engineer – Electrical based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the site electrical installation of control systems and IT infrastructure for cargo and baggage handling solutions.
• Organize and manage daily electrical installation tasks, assign manpower, supervise work areas, and coordinate tools and materials.
• Supervise electrical installation teams and subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient execution according to project specifications and drawings.
• Coordinate installation and preparation of electrical panels, field devices, power distribution, communication networks, and related systems.
• Collaborate with civil contractors and other stakeholders to confirm readiness of sites and interfaces aligning with installation schedules.
• Examine and verify electrical drawings, schematics, cable layouts, I/O documentation, and network designs necessary for installation.
• Identify and report discrepancies in drawings, engineering, or site conditions; liaise with engineering teams to resolve issues promptly.
• Work closely with Mechanical, Controls/PLC, IT, Engineering, Commissioning, and other teams to manage interface requirements and maintain installation progress.
• Track site productivity, manpower, material usage, and constraints, providing routine progress reports to the Site Manager.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Logistics to ensure timely delivery of electrical materials, equipment, and consumables to site.
• Assist in quality inspections, testing, punch-list closure, as-built documentation development, and final handover of systems.
• Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, security, environmental, and quality standards throughout the installation process.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Have at least five years of relevant experience in electrical installation and site execution for industrial automation, material handling, logistics, or similar automated systems; experience with cargo or baggage handling systems preferred.
• Demonstrated capability in leading site teams and subcontractors performing electrical installations.
• Solid understanding of LV power distribution, control panel setup, field device installation, and commissioning procedures.
• Skilled in interpreting electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, panel diagrams, cable schedules, I/O listings, and installation drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit is beneficial.
• Excellent coordination and problem-solving abilities to tackle site and engineering interface challenges.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary, multicultural project teams.
• Good command of English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages offers an advantage.
• Prepared to travel and work on projects both within and beyond Saudi Arabia as required.
