Role Overview
Based at the Musgrave Distribution Centre in Ireland, the Service Technician will be instrumental in maintaining operational efficiency. The role involves performing various maintenance and fault resolution tasks to ensure optimal productivity, equipment functionality, safety compliance, and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Maintain installations in excellent working condition.
- Perform corrective maintenance and address malfunctions collaboratively with other team members.
- Carry out scheduled preventive and periodic maintenance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system faults.
Physical Demands
- Extensive walking and mobility are required, including navigating multiple automation system levels and working at heights.
- Heavy lifting of components such as motors and rollers, adhering to safety and proper lifting techniques.
- Occasional work in confined spaces following safety protocols.
- Exposure to high noise levels; appropriate PPE will be provided, and regulations must be followed.
- Comfort and ability to work at heights up to 30 meters.
Expected Qualifications and Attributes
- Possession of City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or higher in mechanical or electrical maintenance disciplines.
- Availability and willingness to work shifts including night shifts.
- Experience with maintenance planning and execution.
- Proactive mindset with enthusiasm and flexibility to maintain customer satisfaction and process continuity.
Preferred Experience
- Background in FMCG manufacturing or automated environments is advantageous.
- Experience in training or coaching roles is beneficial.
