Role Overview
We seek a Lead AI Engineer (Software) to guide and execute the development of advanced AI products and platforms. This position involves leadership in engaging with customers and partners, working hand-in-hand with internal squads to enhance technology solutions. The ideal candidate excels in detailed coding while navigating overarching business and product strategies, demonstrating organisation, cross-functional collaboration, and enthusiasm for advancing AI technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Enable enterprise clients to deploy a variety of AI agents—including models, large language models (LLMs), micro-services, and orchestration layers—on secure, scalable platforms.
- Develop innovative AI software products emphasizing Node.js and integration with AI tools such as LangChain, LangGraph, and Flowise.
- Identify and integrate new partnerships, emerging AI products, and cutting-edge technologies from both established and start-up vendors.
- Design and implement algorithms tailored for AI agents, leveraging expertise in Node.js and AI frameworks.
- Plan and execute the integration of new features and APIs across diverse platforms within enterprise contexts, utilizing Node.js and optionally Python skills.
- Demonstrate a strong user-centric approach and meticulous attention to detail to exceed client expectations in solutions delivered.
- Maintain and surpass enterprise-level compliance, including SOC2 standards, to ensure security and reliability.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years in software development, ideally with familiarity in AI concepts such as natural language processing, machine learning, and neural networks.
- Proven expertise in Node.js development for production applications.
- Experience with LangChain, AI agent frameworks, or a demonstrated eagerness to learn these technologies (training will be provided).
- A commitment to designing secure, scalable APIs.
- Experience working within cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Ability to lead proactively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with strong problem-solving and leadership skills.
Compensation and Benefits
This role offers a competitive salary ranging from AUD 160,000 to AUD 250,000 annually, flexible working arrangements, exposure to world-class technology, and the opportunity to influence AI utilization across global enterprises.
