Key Responsibilities

• Partner with interdisciplinary groups such as product, design, operations, and infrastructure to design cutting-edge application experiences.
• Create custom user interfaces employing the latest programming methodologies and technologies.
• Evaluate and refine code for high quality, efficiency, and performance, while offering constructive peer feedback during code assessments.
• Lead major technical projects by setting clear objectives, providing mentorship, and facilitating the onboarding process for new teammates.
• Design architecturally sound, scalable systems supporting complex applications.
• Detect and solve performance bottlenecks and scalability challenges, while leading initiatives to minimize technical debt.
• Utilize a broad range of programming languages and technology stacks.
• Assume ownership of components, features, or systems with thorough understanding from end to end.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 8 years of programming experience in a relevant language, or 4+ years of experience if holding a PhD.
• Proven track record of instigating organizational change and leading complex technical initiatives.
• Ability to use data and analytical approaches to clarify technical challenges and deliver detailed feedback and solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
• Experience incorporating AI tools to enhance or redesign workflows with measurable outcomes such as increased efficiency and quality.
• Ongoing development of AI skills including prompt engineering and agent orchestration, with familiarity of emerging AI technologies.
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms including graph theory and optimization methods.
• Experience in Natural Language Processing techniques like text preprocessing, tokenization, and sentiment evaluation.
• Commitment to responsible ethical AI practices, including risk analysis, bias reduction, and quality assurance.
• Knowledge of information retrieval principles such as indexing, querying, and ranking.
• Familiarity with AI frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
