Role Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will architect and develop scalable solutions that address each stage of the short-term rental business lifecycle—from listing distribution and pricing to guest stays and financial reporting. This includes building robust APIs, automations, AI-powered workflows, integrations with industry partners, and cloud infrastructure designed for global reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and scale applications and APIs managing reservations, pricing, payments, and property operations.
• Create event-driven workflows to automate repetitive processes such as cleaning scheduling, check-in instructions, and owner statements.
• Develop AI systems leveraging large language models to automate guest interactions, maintenance requests triage, dynamic pricing support, and portfolio management.
• Establish API-first architecture connecting internal services, booking channels, third-party providers, and client platforms.
• Build and sustain integrations with platforms like Airbnb, Hostaway, Stripe, Twilio, OpenAI, Google, among others.
• Deploy and operate cloud-native infrastructure ensuring high availability and scalability for multiple property management clients.
• Address complex operational challenges including real-time reservation sync, smart lock management, automated guest communications, operational forecasting, and AI monitoring.
• Take full ownership of projects from problem comprehension through design, development, deployment, and iterative enhancement.
• Provide senior-level engineering guidance through technical decision-making and code reviews to uphold system reliability.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Extensive experience developing and maintaining production-grade software systems.
• Proficiency with FastAPI, Python, React, or equivalent web frameworks.
• Strong grasp of API design, distributed systems, and cloud architecture fundamentals.
• Expertise in building scalable backend systems and reliable data models.
• Ability to independently make sound technical decisions and demonstrate a strong problem-solving orientation.
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for AI technologies, automation, and improving operational efficiency.
• A proactive and results-driven attitude emphasizing rapid delivery coupled with maintainability and reliability.

Preferred Experience

• Background in short-term rental, hospitality technology, or property management platforms.
• Experience designing multi-tenant SaaS products and marketplace-style booking integrations.
• Familiarity with AI agent development and event-driven system architectures.
• Experience with Supabase and AWS serverless infrastructure.

Technical Stack
