Job Overview
As a Sales Associate, you will leverage your knowledge and experience to assist Pet Parents in selecting the right nutrition and care products for their pets. You will join a team of passionate professionals and benefit from various perks while contributing to a positive shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate cash register and facilitate customer sales.
- Process merchandise orders, handle banking tasks, and complete related paperwork.
- Stock small items weighing under 10 lbs including pet supplies and household goods in the sales area.
- Maintain store cleanliness through sweeping, dusting, and other general upkeep duties.
- Assist with unloading deliveries of pet food and supplies up to 50 lbs and restock inventory accordingly.
- Perform additional assigned tasks as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Prior experience in retail or customer service roles.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Friendly and outgoing personality with strong customer service abilities.
- Physical capability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) repeatedly.
- Flexibility to work scheduled shifts that may include evenings and weekends.
- Reliable transportation to and from the store location in Oakville, Ontario.
