Role Overview

As a Store Manager based in Calgary, Alberta, you will lead and develop your team to provide exceptional customer service, aiding pet owners in selecting appropriate nutrition and pet solutions. What You Will Do

  • Ensure staff consistently meet customer service standards and foster positive community relationships, including with organizations like the Humane Society.
  • Oversee your team by recruiting, scheduling, training, assigning daily tasks, supervising, and coaching employees.
  • Maintain adherence to corporate operational standards and procedures among all staff members.
  • Manage order placements, inventory controls, store and safety audits, minor repairs, and corporate paperwork.
  • Coordinate team efforts toward achieving the store's business targets and results.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Candidate Profile

  • At least 2 years of experience in customer service and retail store management.
  • Strong enthusiasm for learning and growing within the pet care industry.
  • Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent customer service skills.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
  • Reliable transportation to commute to the store.
  • Ability to observe and coach employees in sales techniques and customer service excellence.
  • Capability to manage and escalate inter-team conflicts appropriately.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Physical capability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Prior industry experience is an advantage.
