Role Overview

As a Keyholder, you will play a crucial role in maintaining excellent execution that ensures we dedicate valuable time assisting customers. Your role will involve recommending suitable products to promote the wellness and happiness of pets, sharing responsibility for driving profitability and growth, and supporting all store operations. You will also represent your store in the local community, focusing on safety, compassion, expertise, and efficiency while upholding and mentoring others on our Core Beliefs.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate as a cashier and engage in customer sales activities.
• Handle preparation of merchandise orders, banking duties, and administrative paperwork.
• Stock small items weighing less than 10 pounds into the sales area.
• Maintain store cleanliness through sweeping, dusting, and general upkeep.
• Assist with unloading deliveries of pet food and supplies, managing items up to 50 pounds and stocking accordingly.
• Effectively perform store opening and closing procedures following company guidelines.
• In absence of Store or Assistant Managers, delegate daily tasks and goals to Assistant Customer Experts (ACEs).
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of two years’ experience in retail or customer service roles.
• Previous experience working with animals is essential.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling processes.
• Friendly, outgoing personality with strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Dependable transportation to commute to and from the store is required.
• A valid driver's license may be necessary.
