Position Overview
We are seeking a Store Manager passionate about pet care to lead and develop a team that delivers exceptional service and assists pet owners in selecting the best nutrition and products. This role offers opportunities for growth, comprehensive training, and involvement in a pet-focused career environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure staff deliver excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with the community, including partnerships with organizations like the Humane Society.
- Oversee recruitment, scheduling, training, task assignments, supervision, and coaching of store employees.
- Maintain compliance with corporate operational standards and procedures across all staff activities.
- Manage administrative tasks such as placing orders, inventory management, conducting audits and safety checks, coordinating minor repairs, and completing corporate documentation.
- Lead team efforts to meet business objectives and sales targets.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- At least two years of experience in customer service and retail store management.
- Strong enthusiasm for continuous learning and growth within the pet care industry.
- Friendly and outgoing demeanor with excellent customer service skills.
- Availability to work weekends and evenings as per scheduling needs.
- Reliable transportation to commute to the store location.
- Capability to observe and coach employees on sales methods and customer service enhancements.
- Skill in recognizing workplace conflicts and escalating appropriately.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Physical ability to repetitively lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Previous industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
