Job Overview
We are searching for a Store Manager who will lead, train, and develop the store team to deliver exceptional customer service and assist pet owners in finding ideal nutrition and solutions for their pets. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure customer service standards are upheld by the team and maintain positive relationships with community organizations such as the Humane Society.
- Oversee recruiting, scheduling, training, task assignments, supervision, and coaching of store employees.
- Ensure compliance with corporate operational standards and procedures by all staff members.
- Manage administrative functions, including placing orders, inventory control, conducting store and safety audits, coordinating minor repairs, and completing requisite corporate paperwork.
- Drive store staff efforts to meet business targets and performance goals.
- Perform additional duties as required to support store operations.
Qualifications and Skills
- At least 2 years of experience in customer service and retail store management.
- Strong enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional growth within the pet care industry.
- Friendly and outgoing personality combined with excellent customer service skills.
- Reliable availability, including weekends and evenings, to meet scheduling demands.
- Dependable transportation to commute to and from the store location.
- Ability to observe and coach staff on sales techniques and delivering superior customer service.
- Skills in managing team conflicts and escalating issues when necessary.
- Proficient with POS systems for sales transactions.
- Physical ability to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds.
- Previous industry experience is considered an advantage.
