Role Overview

As a Retail Merchandising Coordinator at TJ Maxx, you will be instrumental in upholding merchandising and receiving standards to promote operational efficiency. You will lead associates to ensure prompt merchandise processing and foster exceptional customer interactions while maintaining store organization and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming and positive experience for both internal teams and customers.
• Uphold a culture centered on honesty, integrity, and confidentiality.
• Manage truck delivery priorities to ensure timely merchandise placement on the sales floor.
• Train and guide associates on merchandising standards and processes.
• Ensure all merchandise is appropriately tagged, hung, and coded.
• Collaborate closely with the Coordinator on Duty to optimize goods flow.
• Monitor team productivity and provide coaching when needed.
• Organize and rotate back stock to facilitate easy replenishment.
• Maintain merchandising philosophy and signage quality consistently.
• Keep backroom areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety and recycling policies.
• Communicate priorities effectively with management and team members and deliver progress updates.
• Encourage and receive constructive feedback and recognition.
• Partner with management to identify training needs that boost associate effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, internal policies, and procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Contribute to store shrink reduction initiatives.
• Support safety initiatives and maintain a safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as required.

Candidate Profile

• Flexibility to work varied schedules including nights and weekends.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Effective team collaborator with peers and supervisors.
• Physical capability to lift heavy items, with or without accommodations.
• Experience in training others.
• At least one year of retail experience and six months in a leadership role.

Additional Information

The position’s starting hourly wage ranges between $14.00 and $14.50, determined by qualifications and experience. Applicants with criminal records will also be considered.
