Detailer (Flat Rate)

Job Overview

Teph Seal Auto Appearance is seeking motivated Detail Specialists to join our team in Jackson, MS. We offer positions for individuals with varying experience levels: Detail Specialist 1 for candidates with some experience and Detail Specialist 2 for those with over two years of experience. This role is based on a flat rate compensation structure and involves working primarily onsite within dealership locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and service quality within the facility to ensure superior customer satisfaction through courteous interaction, rapid resolution of inquiries or complaints, and consistently high service standards.
• Perform tasks including washing vehicle exteriors with specialized cleaning products, waxing and buffing vehicles using cloths and machines, vacuuming interiors, cleaning upholstery and surfaces.
• Apply protection chemicals to surfaces to guard against stains and spots using appropriate dyes, paints, and waxes, as well as cleaning engines and engine compartments as needed.
• Drive, detail, and clean customer vehicles with care and precision while adhering to safety protocols involving approved cleaning agents and equipment.
• Flexibility to undertake additional duties as assigned based on operational requirements.

Working Conditions

• This position is physically demanding, entailing frequent movement such as bending, lifting, reaching, squatting, and entering/exiting multiple vehicles throughout the shift.
• Work may occur in outdoor environments exposed to various weather conditions.
• Employees will handle numerous vehicles daily, requiring attention to safety and quality.
• Use of OSHA-approved cleaning products including window cleaners, tar removers, and tire shine treatments.
• The role demands manual dexterity, spine and limb flexibility, clear vision and hearing, and the ability to detect minor imperfections in detailing work.
• Tasks may involve lifting or carrying weights up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Strict compliance with uniform and grooming policies is mandatory.
• A strong sense of urgency to respect customers’ time and thorough quality inspections of both personal and teammates' work are expected.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Quick learning ability and aptitude to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good reading comprehension skills to follow instructions accurately.
• Respectful handling of customers’ personal vehicles and commitment to punctuality and task focus during work hours.
• Capability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays if required to meet production demands.
