Detailer (Flat Rate)

Position Overview

We seek dedicated team members for Flat Rate Detail Shop roles in Greenville, SC, focusing on excellent customer service within a fast-paced environment. Positions include Detail Specialist 1 (some experience) and Detail Specialist 2 (2+ years experience). Successful candidates will uphold store facility standards to ensure high-quality services and customer satisfaction through courteous interactions and prompt issue resolution.

Key Duties

• Wash vehicle exteriors using various cleaning agents.
• Wax and buff vehicles with cloths and machines to restore finish and shine.
• Vacuum and clean interiors, including upholstery and surfaces.
• Utilize air compressors and cloths to dry surfaces thoroughly.
• Apply protective chemicals to preserve surfaces from stains and spots.
• Use dyes, paints, and waxes for leather and fabric care as required.
• Clean and degrease engines or engine compartments when necessary.
• Adapt flexibly to additional management-assigned duties based on operational demands.

Working Conditions

• Physically intensive duties involving frequent bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), reaching, squatting, and vehicle ingress/egress.
• Work may occur outdoors under variable weather conditions.
• Handling many vehicles across shifts.
• Using safe, OSHA-approved cleaning materials like window cleaner, tar remover, and tire shine.
• Repetitive hand and spine movements required.
• Continuous oral communication and clear sensory capabilities essential.
• Attention to detail to detect imperfections such as window streaks, smudges, or missed vacuuming.
• Inspect work quality for self and colleagues.
• Maintain a sense of urgency to respect customer time.
• Adhere strictly to uniform and grooming policies.
