About the Role and Company
We are seeking skilled professionals for the position of Deputy Manager - Process Quality at our Schneider Electric facility in Ahmednagar, India. Lauritz Knudsen Electrical and Automation, a subsidiary of Schneider Electric, is an established brand with a history spanning over 70 years in India. The company offers a wide range of electrical and automation products including low-voltage and medium-voltage switchgear, automation solutions, software, and services catering to homes, agriculture, infrastructure, industry, and buildings.
This role is based at the Ahmednagar factory specifically for the Lauritz Knudsen Electrical & Automation unit. Candidates should possess a Bachelor of Engineering in any discipline and have 3 to 6 years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support quality assurance processes throughout the entire manufacturing lifecycle to ensure compliance with product quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Foster a culture prioritizing quality within manufacturing by championing and adhering to standardized quality practices and procedures.
- Lead and execute initiatives to improve quality, reduce process variability, minimize defects, and mitigate quality risks in manufacturing operations.
- Take part in quality assurance and validation tasks related to new installations, transferred manufacturing lines, or process changes.
- Work closely with Procurement Quality and other cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve quality problems associated with suppliers during manufacturing.
- Utilize established quality tools, techniques, and inspection methods to monitor and control process capability and product quality consistently.
- Provide support in root cause analysis and manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address manufacturing deviations and nonconformities.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date quality documentation in line with internal protocols and regulatory standards.
- Complete assigned duties within given timelines and priorities while upholding quality expectations.
Eligibility
Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or other engineering disciplines.
Minimum education
Bachelor's Degree
