Position Overview
Joining Walmart Canada as a Dairy/Frozen Associate offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-moving retail environment. The main focus of this role is to provide outstanding customer service aligned with Walmart's core values, while ensuring the Dairy/Frozen section remains clean, orderly, and optimally arranged. You will also support inventory stocking and sales initiatives to keep products fresh and the department ready for customers at all times. This position suits individuals interested in engaging retail or customer service roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep the Dairy/Frozen department tidy, well-organized, and properly zoned, guaranteeing it is always prepared for customers.
- Regularly rotate stock and inspect for expired items to uphold freshness and quality standards.
- Ensure accurate product pricing and labeling, following established procedures for ordering, markdowns, signage, and inventory management.
- Comply with cold chain requirements and food safety protocols, including temperature monitoring, thermometer calibration, proper food handling, date management, and sanitation.
- Maintain and update merchandising features to support promotional activities and merchandising standards.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free workspace by removing debris and spills, and adhering to company policies and safety guidelines.
- Be flexible with work schedules, willing to cover various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business demands.
Challenges in This Role
- Handle a high volume of tasks in a fast-paced setting, managing overnight shifts with effective planning to maintain focus and energy.
- Perform frequent restocking and recovery duties accurately and efficiently within scheduled timeframes.
- Engage in physical activities such as standing for long periods, bending, and lifting inventory or supplies up to 50 lbs.
- Perform repetitive tasks involving stocking, zoning, and organizing products with consistency and attention to detail.

Compensation
The starting hourly wage for this role is $15.50.
