Job description
Position Overview
The Stocking 1 Team Lead plays a crucial role in guiding stocking activities, addressing challenges, and mentoring team members through effective training. Emphasis is placed on delivering outstanding customer service while ensuring efficient task completion.
Key Duties
- Offer outstanding customer interactions by greeting customers courteously, assisting with product details, helping locate items, supporting purchase decisions, resolving concerns, and escalating issues appropriately.
- Support leadership in directing and coordinating task execution according to priorities set by the Stocking 1 and 2 Coach and Store Management. Delegate, assist, and monitor daily VizPick processes.
- Evaluate the appearance of General Merchandise, Food, and Consumable Departments; identify and address any presentation shortcomings and implement merchandising updates when needed.
- Facilitate effective communication with associates, hold daily team briefings at the beginning of shifts to share updates, set objectives, and track productivity.
- Collaborate with the People Lead to review completed schedules and effectively allocate associates to cover all store areas.
- Inspect assigned zones alongside the Coach and team members to identify and address training opportunities. Provide development through teaching, coaching, and feedback.
- Promote a safe, clean, and hazard-free workspace by following company policies, completing safety sweep logs, and ensuring fixtures and displays are secure.
- Carry out GTA/Workday responsibilities and assist Management as required.
- Work with the Coach/People Lead to aid in performance evaluations, facilitate growth discussions, and support recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
Compensation
The hourly wage for this role starts at $19.15.
Minimum Requirements
