Position Overview

Working as a Cashier at Walmart Canada provides an opportunity to enhance retail and customer service skills. The role focuses on delivering excellent service during checkout, fostering customer loyalty, and diligently protecting company assets by maintaining a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Warmly greet every customer in a polite and friendly manner.
• Process customer purchases promptly and efficiently, including handling merchandise deactivation under the Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) program.
• Promote Walmart's sponsored programs such as credit card services, product protection plans, and charitable initiatives.
• Assist customers with packing and loading their purchases as needed.
• Ensure workplace safety by following proper lifting techniques and maintaining a clean work environment.
• Maintain the security and integrity of the cash register through accurate cash handling, compliance with company policies, and vigilance of surroundings.
• Refer relevant service requests and transaction concerns to a Customer Service Manager when appropriate.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $16.15.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 16 years or older.
