Job Overview

The position of Cashier is vital in delivering efficient, friendly, and accurate service to customers. Responsibilities include handling checkout and return transactions, overseeing the Self-Checkout area, and actively acquiring knowledge about products and projects to better assist customers and identify sales opportunities.

Role Responsibilities

• Execute checkout and return procedures with precision and friendliness.
• Manage and maintain the Self-Checkout zone.
• Continuously update product and project understanding to support customer inquiries and promote sales.
• Adhere strictly to company policies to reduce inventory shrinkage.

Additional Duties of a Head Cashier

• Direct and position Cashiers effectively throughout shifts.
• Handle price verifications, approve POS transactions and markdowns across registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental departments.
• Serve as the initial point of escalation for customer concerns.
• Support the supervision, coaching, and training of Front End Associates and new Cashiers, using available tools to enhance team skills.

Qualifications

Experience of at least one year as a Cashier is preferred for candidates seeking the Head Cashier role.
