Position Overview
The Cashier plays an essential role in delivering excellent customer service by ensuring fast, friendly, accurate, and secure transaction processing. This position involves handling Checkout and Return transactions efficiently and overseeing the Self-Checkout stations. Cashiers actively build product and project knowledge to assist customers and uncover potential sales opportunities while adhering to company policies to minimize inventory shrinkage.
Head Cashier Responsibilities
As a Head Cashier, additional duties include coordinating the positioning of Cashiers, facilitating price verifications, authorizing Point of Sale (POS) transactions and markdowns across mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental areas. This role also serves as the primary point of escalation for customer concerns and supports the supervision, training, and coaching of Front End Associates and new Cashiers by leveraging available tools for effective development.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Head Cashier role possesses over one year of previous Cashier experience.
