Cashier

Role Overview

Cashiers play an essential part in delivering quick, courteous, precise, and secure service to customers. They handle checkout and return transactions along with supervising and maintaining the Self-Checkout stations. By actively acquiring knowledge about products and projects, Cashiers equip themselves to offer helpful information and recognize opportunities to promote sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Process customer purchases and returns efficiently and accurately.
• Maintain the Self-Checkout area to ensure smooth operation.
• Stay informed about products and projects to assist customers better and identify sales prospects.
• Comply with all store policies to reduce loss and shrinkage.

Head Cashier Role

• Assign tasks and support Cashiers on duty.
• Facilitate price checks and approve point-of-sale transactions and markdowns across various service points including main registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental.
• Serve as the initial point of escalation for customer concerns.
• Assist in supervising, coaching, and training Front End Associates.
• Participate in onboarding of new Cashiers and use coaching tools for their development.
