Job description

Job Overview

The position requires specialized expertise in outfitting and architecture, acting as an approver or reviewer. The role focuses on providing and verifying implementation strategies and plans, managing interfaces, compiling basic data, controlling risks, developing professional engineering schemes and accompanying documentation. Identifying potential project risks and devising effective countermeasures is a key part of the role.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee outfitting and architectural components, including equipment selection and technical management.
  • Prepare and review documents related to design, proofreading, procurement technical support such as bidding documentation, bid evaluation, clarifications, drawing reviews, and factory acceptance tests.
  • Liaise with international owners to address and resolve project-related challenges.
  • Coordinate with foreign owners, classification societies, and relevant third parties, as well as regulatory and standards bodies to address comments and technical issues.
  • Deliver technical training and mentoring to design teams regularly, ensuring a minimum of 10 sessions or 40 hours of instruction annually.
  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by the employer.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or higher is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of marine engineering outfitting and architectural principles.
  • Familiarity with international standards including API, ASME, SHELL DEP, as well as regulations from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and experience with projects in the Middle East and Brazil are advantageous.

Skills and Personal Attributes

  • Proficiency in office software such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrates diligence, thoroughness, and high accountability, with the flexibility to work overtime as necessary.
  • Strong capacity and enthusiasm for continuous learning of new skills and knowledge.
  • Extensive experience in onsite collaboration; available for domestic or international travel including working on offshore oil and gas platforms.
  • English language proficiency suitable for the role: Domestic candidates should possess CET6 (score ≥ 550) or TOEIC (score ≥ 700); native English speakers are preferred for international candidates.
