Project Manager

Overview

Our client seeks a seasoned Project Manager to lead the planning, mobilisation, and execution of project activities. This contract position, based in Wellington, New Zealand, extends until June 2027 and demands a business-oriented approach for overseeing multiple workstreams, managing resources, and handling deliverables, risks, and dependencies effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and update comprehensive project delivery plans.
• Mobilise both service providers and business personnel essential to the implementation phases.
• Synchronize delivery efforts across various workstreams and stakeholder groups.
• Oversee programme governance including preparing reports, decision papers, and tracking action items.
• Proactively identify and address risks, issues, assumptions, and interdependencies.
• Track progress relative to milestones, budgets, and resource allocation forecasts.
• Ensure timely alignment and completion of workstream deliverables.
• Lead planning workshops, delivery evaluations, and governance meetings.
• Organize readiness activities to facilitate smooth transition into steady business operations.
• Escalate critical decisions and delivery risks to senior programme leadership.

Eligibility and Application
