Job description

Company Overview

Base360.ai develops an AI-driven operating system designed to support short-term rental businesses, enabling property managers to launch, operate, and scale efficiently with automation. The platform evolved from technology originally created by The Flex.

Position Overview

We seek a skilled Video Editor to creatively showcase our product features, founder stories, and brand identity through engaging video content. This role entails hands-on editing work, involving storytelling, motion design, pacing, and sound editing, to produce launch films, social media clips, advertisements, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit videos for product launches and brand films that blend narrative storytelling with product demonstrations and focused visual direction.
  • Create founder-focused content derived from interviews, on-camera presentations, and behind-the-scenes footage.
  • Produce short-form videos for platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn featuring compelling hooks and intentional pacing.
  • Develop paid advertising creatives, experimenting with different openings, messages, and calls to action.
  • Animate screen recordings and integrate motion graphics, kinetic typography, and clear visual explanations to bring the product to life.
  • Manage all post-production stages including footage selection, video editing, color grading, sound design, music integration, captioning, and final exports.
  • Leverage AI creative tools to generate supplemental visuals, voiceovers, and other assets that enhance quality and speed up production processes.
  • Ensure consistent visual branding across all video formats and distribution channels.
  • Use performance analytics such as viewer retention, watch time, and conversion metrics to refine and improve video content over time.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess a robust portfolio showing strong storytelling capabilities, exemplary editing skills, and excellent visual judgment.
  • Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro, and skilled in motion design tools like After Effects or equivalents.
  • Expertise in crafting engaging openings that captivate viewers within the first three seconds, maintaining their interest thereafter.
  • Ability to distill lengthy recordings into concise, compelling narratives.
  • Understanding of how elements like music, silence, sound effects, and pacing influence emotional impact.
  • Comfortable incorporating AI-driven creative tools including Runway, Kling, Sora, and ElevenLabs into editing workflows.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while meeting deadlines and responding positively to feedback.
  • Efficiently balance speed with quality and pay attention to fine details to ensure polished final output.

Preferred Experience

Experience creating videos related to SaaS products, founder storytelling, documentary styles, or paid social advertisements is an advantage.

Why Work Here?

  • Opportunity to shape the visual video identity of an emerging company at an early stage.
  • Collaborate directly with the company founder on product launches, storytelling, and public brand-building efforts.
  • Exercise creative autonomy and witness your work published across multiple marketing and brand platforms.
  • Potential for growth into creative leadership roles, including building and leading a video team.
  • Receive competitive compensation along with performance-related bonuses.
  • Enjoy remote work within a dynamic, entrepreneurial team environment.

Company Values & Expectations

We embrace ownership, straightforward communication, high standards, and an ethos of continuous improvement. Ideal candidates are proactive, experimental, and passionate about advancing their craft.

Who Should Not Apply?

  • Candidates who prefer extensive instructions over creative responsibility.
  • Those seeking a predictable, slow-evolving role with minimal change.
  • Individuals uncomfortable with direct feedback, revisions, or innovative experimentation.
  • Applicants prioritizing video aesthetics over storytelling effectiveness and measurable outcomes.
  • Those unwilling to learn new tools or adapt their creative processes.
  • People who bring ego or office politics rather than collaborative spirit and accountability.
  • Those lacking motivation to excel in their craft.
