About the Role and Company
We seek a motivated and enthusiastic Valeter to become part of the team at Central Car Auctions in Accrington. Responsibilities
- Maintain vehicles by cleaning both sold and stock cars to a thorough and high standard.
- Perform exterior washing using powerful pressure washers.
- Clean and shampoo vehicle interiors with high-powered vacuum equipment.
- Enhance vehicle bodywork by operating polishing and buffing machines.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations when handling chemicals.
- Ensure all machinery and equipment are correctly maintained, secured, and operated according to manufacturer guidance and personal protective equipment protocols; report any faults promptly.
- Meet prescribed timeframes and performance targets.
- Use an online scheduling diary to organize vehicle cleaning appointments.
- Complete daily logs detailing work performed.
- Support other branch functions as required.
Working Hours
Full time schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm; Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
Skills and Requirements
- Possession of a full UK driving license.
- Basic proficiency with computer systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Self-driven with the ability to collaborate effectively in teams.
- Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing training programs.
Previous valet experience is an advantage but not mandatory, as comprehensive training is provided through Arnold Clark's Valet Academy for enthusiastic candidates meeting the criteria.
