Arnold Clark is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Valeter to join their Prep Centre in Ayr, Scotland. This role involves the meticulous presentation of vehicles, ensuring they are spotless and showroom-ready.

Working Hours

This is a full-time position requiring work Monday to Thursday from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, and alternate Saturdays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Role Responsibilities

• Thorough cleaning of both sold and stock vehicles to a high standard
• Using high-powered pressure washers for exterior cleaning
• Vacuuming and shampooing vehicle interiors with industrial equipment
• Operating polishing and buffing machines to enhance the vehicle's bodywork
• Adhering strictly to health and safety regulations, especially when handling chemicals
• Ensuring maintenance and security of all equipment and reporting defects promptly
• Meeting set timeframes and cleaning targets
• Managing vehicle schedules via an online diary system
• Maintaining daily logs of work completed
• Assisting with additional duties to support the branch as needed

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Full valid UK driving licence
• Basic proficiency with computers
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Self-driven with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team
• Capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Willingness to engage in ongoing training initiatives

While previous valet experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory as training is provided to candidates who display enthusiasm and meet other criteria. New valet employees also attend Arnold Clark's Valet Academy.
