Job Summary

We are currently hiring a Traffic Controller to join our team integral to the CCTV Pipeline Inspection Division, Jet Vac operations, Pipeline Rehabilitation, and UV Lining operations. This position plays a crucial role in enhancing underground infrastructure reliability by ensuring traffic control during essential maintenance operations aimed at prolonging the life of sewer and storm systems while minimizing environmental effects.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with team members to successfully complete cleaning, repairs, and rehabilitation of sewer and drainpipes.
• Manage vehicular and pedestrian traffic safely at construction and roadwork zones.
• Set up and maintain temporary traffic signs, cones, and barricades when necessary.
• Use radios or other communication devices to maintain contact with coworkers and supervisors.
• Ensure the organized and safe flow of traffic through assigned areas.
• Assist in loading and transporting materials and equipment to and from job sites.
• Assess job sites to plan the most effective methods for service completion.
• Prioritize safety by strictly following Corporate Health & Safety and Environmental policies.
• Clean and maintain tools and equipment, ensuring safe and proper operation.
• Keep all equipment in optimal working condition.
• Operate company vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Be capable of lifting loads approximately 30-50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Possession of safety certificates is advantageous.
• Experience in plumbing and electrical work is considered a plus.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, complying with all corporate Health & Safety and Environmental policies.
• Ability to multitask and adapt within a diverse work setting.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license required.

Role plays an important part in supporting various divisions including CCTV Pipeline Inspection, Jet Vac operations, pipeline rehabilitation, and UV lining initiatives to improve sewer infrastructure longevity and reduce failures.
