Overview
You will join a multidisciplinary team including Plumbers, Electricians, HVAC Technicians, and Building Maintenance personnel, dedicated to maintaining high standards across client facilities. About The Role
The role is based in Christchurch, overseeing diverse trades servicing clients such as major banks, government agencies, aged care facilities, prisons, and other leading commercial entities. Your responsibilities will combine reactive maintenance, minor project execution, and support for Planned Preventative Maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary escalation and management point for the Christchurch division, handling escalations and upgrades while enforcing safety protocols and conducting audits on completed works to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Coordinate minor work projects and manage relationships with sub-contractors effectively.
- Perform various trade and general maintenance duties requiring relevant trade qualifications and licenses, preferably in HVAC, Electrical, or Building trades.
- Identify and escalate potential new work opportunities to clients or management, including preparing documentation and presenting options for upgrades or minor works.
- Manage documentation required for client invoicing, maintaining sound commercial awareness to maximize profitability.
- Develop and maintain strong knowledge of Health and Safety standards, including creating HSE documentation.
- Utilize excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate resources and ensure contract KPI alignment.
Candidate Profile
- Skilled tradesperson with relevant qualifications and licenses in HVAC, Electrical or Building trades.
- Strong understanding and commitment to Health and Safety practices in commercial environments.
- Effective leadership and management skills, particularly for escalations and minor project coordination.
- Proficient in client communication, resource coordination, and contract compliance.
- Valid clean full driver’s license.
