Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Cluster Electrician to manage the electrical maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs across several properties or operational sites. This role focuses on ensuring electrical systems are safe, compliant, and operational to minimize downtime and support preventative maintenance programs.

Key Duties

• Perform routine electrical inspections within assigned multiple locations.
• Conduct both preventive and corrective electrical maintenance tasks.
• Identify electrical faults and implement appropriate corrective repairs.
• Maintain lighting, power distribution setups, sockets, switches, and related electrical equipment.
• Evaluate distribution boards, circuit breakers, isolators, and control panels for optimal function.
• Troubleshoot issues in wiring, circuits, and electrical power supply.
• Carry out testing on various electrical systems and equipment.
• Respond swiftly to electrical failures and emergency service calls.
• Support the scheduled preventive maintenance activities across all sites managed.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs performed.
• Observe electrical equipment for signs of wear, overheating, or failure and intervene as necessary.
• Replace faulty electrical components and wiring when required.
• Assist in installing, modifying, and commissioning electrical systems.
• Ensure all work complies with established procedures and standards.
• Liaise with Facilities, Engineering, and Operations teams regarding maintenance needs.
• Support and supervise contractors and specialist technicians during electrical projects.
• Inspect and report on the quality of contractor workmanship.
• Manage electrical tools, testing equipment, and maintenance supplies.
• Ensure availability of spare parts and electrical consumables.
• Adhere strictly to isolation, lockout/tagout, and electrical safety protocols.
• Maintain all health and safety requirements in the workplace.
• Identify and recommend corrective actions for potential electrical risks.
• Support emergency response and business continuity efforts.
• Assist with generator, UPS, emergency lighting, and backup power system maintenance when needed.
• Monitor energy consumption and suggest improvements for energy efficiency.
• Review maintenance requests and prioritize urgent electrical concerns.
• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers or management appropriately.
• Maintain site documentation including inspection checklists and maintenance reports.
• Participate in audits, safety reviews, and technical assessments.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to electrical maintenance.
• Ensure professional communication with site personnel, vendors, and contractors.
• Leave work areas safe, clean, and operational post maintenance.
• Perform additional electrical and facilities-related duties as assigned.

Candidate Requirements

• Diploma, technical qualification, or vocational certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• A minimum of three years' experience in electrical maintenance, facilities management, building services, or a similar field.
• Comprehensive practical knowledge of electrical distribution systems, wiring, circuits, and control devices.
• Proven skills in troubleshooting electrical problems and executing preventive upkeep.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and technical documents.
• Experience using electrical testing devices and maintenance tools.
• Familiar with electrical safety standards and safe isolation procedures.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good organizational skills with effective time-management capabilities.
• Ability to autonomously work across multiple facilities or sites.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
• Comfortable collaborating with contractors, technicians, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Basic computer literacy to maintain records and generate reports.
• Experience managing facilities or multi-site maintenance operations is advantageous.
• Previous work experience in UAE or GCC regions is a plus but not required.
• Relevant electrical licenses or certifications are welcome but not mandatory.
