Technical Security Support Supervisor

Overview

The Technical Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing several key security units, including the ID & Sticker Unit, Security Specialist, Technical Specialist, and Control Center operations. Leading security inspection tours and ensuring strict compliance with security regulations are core elements of this role.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Guide and manage direct reports by providing clear direction to help them fulfill their job duties effectively.
• Conduct performance appraisals for team members, evaluate their skills, and support their development to meet managerial and functional competency requirements.
• Ensure staff carry out their responsibilities according to SATORP's policies and procedures.
• Maximize efficiency by utilizing resources optimally and ensuring assignments are completed promptly within established standards.
• Maintain all security equipment, including cameras, CCTV, card readers, and related devices, in proper operational condition.
• Monitor entry to the refinery premises; verify visitor authorizations and approve access permits accordingly.
• Assist with spot inspections and organize scheduled training drills to prepare shift personnel for incident and emergency response.
• Review performance reports regularly to assess security strategy implementation, identify areas for improvement, and recommend or execute corrective measures.
• Conduct security audits aimed at detecting risks concerning physical security, employee safety, and asset protection.
• Inspect security designs, installations, and programs to ensure adherence to established standards and regulations.
• Contribute to formulating security plans, policies, technical procedures, and operational directives.
• Verify enforcement of security policies and programs among responsible personnel.
• Ensure security systems receive appropriate and timely maintenance.
• Review design or construction specifications for security systems and oversee their implementation in compliance with the company’s security guidelines.
• Design and deliver security training initiatives covering general procedures and advanced security equipment usage.
• Carry out additional duties assigned by the Industrial Security Technical Support Manager.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, Electronics Engineering or related disciplines is mandatory.
• A minimum of seven years' experience in the relevant technical field is required.
• At least one year in a supervisory capacity or acting supervisory role is necessary.
