Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our Christchurch Building Services team, tasked with maintaining and supporting a diverse array of commercial and critical infrastructure across the Canterbury region. Based at the Paragon Place office, the role involves delivering electrical maintenance services and minor projects with significant independence within a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform reactive maintenance and troubleshoot faults at various commercial locations.
• Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and compliance testing on electrical systems.
• Carry out minor electrical installations, upgrades, and remedial work.
• Test, commission, and keep electrical equipment and systems in good working order.
• Inspect and maintain emergency lighting and essential building services.
• Use mobile technology to accurately record all work activities.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and legal requirements during all tasks.
• Provide outstanding customer service and cultivate strong client relationships.

Candidate Profile

• Hold a valid New Zealand Electrical Practising Licence.
• Experienced in commercial electrical maintenance environments.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities with electrical faults.
• Dedicated to upholding health, safety, and quality standards.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Capable of working autonomously while effectively managing competing demands.
• Possess a full and clean New Zealand driver's licence.
