Job description
Role Overview
The Textile Store Executive plays a crucial role in managing daily operations related to inventory and stock in a textile environment. Ensuring seamless warehouse or retail floor functioning, this role includes maintaining accurate records and coordinating material flow between various departments.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage daily inventory, inspect fabrics or finished garments, and accurately record stock movements.
- Maintain ledger and inventory records to safeguard materials from damage.
- Coordinate supply chain activities with production and sales teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Track receipt of yarn, fabrics, and trims ensuring alignment with purchase orders.
- Update stock data in ERP tools such as SAP or Tally in real-time.
- Conduct periodic physical checks and cycle counts to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Implement FIFO (First-In, First-Out) stock rotation to avoid material spoilage.
- Perform quality assessment on raw textiles to detect defects, stains, or mismatches.
- Issue authorized materials to production or sales floors documented with proper slips.
- Systematically tag, label, and arrange stock for easy and fast retrieval.
- Prepare and manage Goods Receipt Notes and report discrepancies when necessary.
- Notify management regarding reorder levels to maintain optimal stock quantities.
- Communicate with vendors and procurement teams about deliveries, returns, and other logistics.
- Ensure warehouse safety, tidiness, and preservation of materials to meet compliance standards.
