About the Role
Join Neste's Tuas Refinery team in Singapore as a Technician, where you will contribute to the leading global producer of renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting safe, efficient daily plant operations and maintenance within a collaborative and continuous learning environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure safe, smooth operational flow within the plant facilities.
- Collaborate closely with Senior Technicians to oversee processes and safety standards, promptly reporting any deviations.
- Conduct regular field inspections to detect potential emissions affecting air, ground, or wastewater and initiate preventive measures.
- Collect process samples following scheduled routines to support quality control.
- Implement Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures during maintenance tasks.
- Operate in confined spaces when required, adhering strictly to safety protocols.
- Participate in issuing Permits to Work (PTW), such as Cold Work and Hot Work permits.
- Monitor the condition and availability of process equipment and facilities.
- Serve on the Emergency Response Team, prepared for incident management.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards in operational areas.
Requirements
- Educational background in Chemical Process Technology (NITEC) or a Diploma in Chemical Engineering or related disciplines.
- Entry-level candidates with minimal work experience are encouraged to apply; comprehensive training will be provided.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a safety-oriented, responsible attitude are essential.
- Ability to communicate effectively and proactively contribute within a team setting.
Working Conditions and Additional Information
- Shift schedule involves a 12-hour, 2-2-3 rotation pattern.
- Position is based at Tuas South refinery, Singapore, requiring onsite presence.
- Interviews will be held in-person at the Tuas refinery site.
- New hires must successfully pass health evaluations, including medical fitness and drug tests.
- Employees will undergo a security clearance process, requiring consent.
- Company provides free transport pick-up and drop-off from select MRT stations: Jurong East, Macpherson, and Tuas West.
- The recruitment process includes interviews and possible aptitude assessments scheduled around early March 2026.
