About the Role
Join Neste, a global leader in renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel production, as a Project Planner or Senior Project Planner in our Singapore Tuas South location. You will integrate into the global project planning team within the Project Control line organization, collaborating closely with investment project delivery and execution teams to oversee schedule development and control for EPC, EPCM, and major investment initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate the project planning process including compiling schedules for all types of investment projects, effectively communicating schedule status, and delivering analyses to project and portfolio management.
- Identify opportunities proactively and spearhead initiatives to enhance Project Controls maturity by implementing new systems, processes, and technologies.
- Manage and coordinate project planning development projects, ensuring their successful execution in cooperation with Major Investment Projects, Investment Portfolios, discipline leads, PC team members, and line management.
- Implement global Project Control standards and best practices in cost, schedule, and change management to ensure uniformity and data integrity.
- Function as a planning manager within Major Investment Projects.
- Independently establish project and portfolio schedule development, control, and progress reporting across all project types.
- Calculate project progress, conduct forecasting, review status with project management, and update schedules to reflect future activities.
Candidate Profile
- Over 6 years of demonstrated experience in Project Controls disciplines, particularly project planning, managing planning processes for major capital projects.
- Expertise in forward-looking project delivery, fostering new methodologies and driving project schedule management.
- Proficient in preparing project schedules at all levels and phases of investment projects, adept at identifying bottlenecks and advising project teams accordingly.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Strong command of scheduling software such as Primavera and MS Project; familiarity with SAP, Aveva, PowerBi, and Safran is advantageous.
- Experience in turnaround planning and scheduling within the process industry is beneficial.
- Educational background includes a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or related field. Relevant certifications like PMP or CCP are highly regarded.
- A responsible and safety-conscious approach is essential.
