About the Role
We are seeking a Production Planner to join our Production Planning team based in Singapore. This position focuses on coordinating production schedules at the refinery, working closely with Shipping, Operations, and various internal teams to optimize manufacturing processes and product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule production activities for the Singapore refinery ensuring efficient workflow.
- Manage daily operational planning and support process performance within the team independently.
- Optimize product blends and production rates to maximize output quality and efficiency.
- Oversee volumes and quality control for incoming feedstocks, intermediate goods, and final product streams, including thorough performance reporting.
- Ensure continuous production flow, promptly addressing and mitigating any production losses.
- Engage in technical discussions and problem-solving related to supply chain and process improvements.
- Collaborate with multiple business units locally and internationally, including Supply Chain Planning, Sourcing & Trading, Logistics Operations, and Refining departments.
- Participate as a specialist in site audits such as ISCC and ISO standards, supporting compliance and best practices.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Bio-Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in supply chain, production planning, logistics planning, or production operations within chemical or oil industries.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proactive, results-oriented mindset with the courage to question and improve existing processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively in teams while independently managing own workload.
- Adaptable and flexible to complex or changing work conditions.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies; Lean Six Sigma knowledge is advantageous.
- Willingness to support operations beyond regular office hours when needed.
- Responsible approach with a strong focus on safety in all activities.
