About the Role
Join Neste, the world’s foremost producer of renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel, as an Inspection Supervisor based at our Singapore Tuas Refinery. This role offers a unique opportunity to impact our global mission of reducing greenhouse gas emissions through leading inspection activities within refinery operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation of the Asset Integrity framework focused on static equipment and piping on site.
- Ensure timely execution of preventive inspection activities in compliance with Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower and Civil Defence regulations, including statutory equipment inspections.
- Lead and support integrity improvement programs and investigations such as Corrosion Under Insulation, Root Cause Analyses, removal of problematic equipment, and Risk-Based Inspection initiatives.
- Serve as the technical focal point for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities, providing expert advice and staying informed on the latest industry NDT technologies for potential site adoption.
- Provide troubleshooting support, develop work scopes and job plans, and assist with maintenance, project, and turnaround activities related to static equipment and piping.
- Manage quality assurance oversight during turnarounds, maintenance, and project executions, ensuring contractors comply with Neste’s standards and procedural requirements.
- Maintain documentation compliance with procedures, work instructions, QA/QC checklists, and inspection test plans aligned with appropriate codes and standards.
- Review NDT reports, conduct remaining life assessments to monitor equipment health, and ensure corrective work orders are entered into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Performance Indicators and Targets
- Safety metrics including Safe Days, Total Recordable Case Frequency, Lost Time Injuries, Field Activity Corrective Scores, Behaviour-Based Safety Observations, and walkabout targets.
- Equipment availability and utilization rates.
- Adherence to scheduled Preventive Maintenance and statutory inspection deadlines.
- Operational discipline demonstrated by zero overdue Non-Conformance Reports and compliance with Management of Change procedures.
- Compliance with Neste Management System documentation standards.
- Successful delivery of shutdown and turnaround projects.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or higher in Materials or Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience within refinery and/or petrochemical industries.
- Proven background in inspection activities, turnaround projects, maintenance execution, and risk-based inspection planning and implementation.
- Familiarity with damage mechanisms commonly encountered in refinery operations is advantageous.
- Certifications such as API 510, API 570, API 653, CWI/CSWIP, and NDT Level II credentials are beneficial.
- Proficient with CMMS, preferably SAP.
- Strong communication skills and experience managing both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively to promote a team-oriented culture.
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities for timely decision-making.

This is a full-time onsite position based in Singapore. Candidates must adhere to safety and company policies. The recruitment process may involve interviews, aptitude assessments, and possibly health examinations including drug testing and security clearances depending on position requirements.
