Technical Supervisor - Digital Delivery (BIM Coordination)

Role Overview

The BIM / Digital Delivery Coordinator for Utilities leads the coordination of BIM models and information delivery within utility infrastructure projects. Acting as a central liaison among various technical leads, digital teams, and other disciplines, this role ensures consistent, high-quality delivery of coordinated models, drawings, and information compliant with project standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as main point of contact between utility discipline technical leads, project digital delivery manager, coordinator, and intersecting disciplines such as roads, landscape, and structures.
• Organize and lead cross-disciplinary model coordination meetings.
• Manage utility model coordination spaces, schedule and control data sharing, and track clash and issue resolution progress.
• Address document comments related to BIM models and ensure timely closure, escalating unresolved coordination issues with supporting evidence.
• Support master and discipline-specific information delivery plans, manage data shortcuts, and arrange part catalogues and object libraries tailored to project needs.
• Ensure quality through discipline model checklists (3D) and drawing checklist compliance (2D), including geometry, attribute accuracy, and proper export formats.
• Provide internal training on BIM authoring tools and contribute to BIM capability in bids and tender proposals.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, GIS, geomatics, or geography.
• Minimum 8 years' experience with BIM on infrastructure projects, including at least 3 years focused on coordination roles.
• Proven expertise in ISO 19650 standards with experience managing coordination across multiple disciplines simultaneously.
• Previous experience within Middle East consultancy environments is preferred.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written.

Technical Proficiencies

• Expert-level use of Navisworks features such as clash detection, search sets, appearance profiles, and resolution tracking/reporting.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D and Revit to handle models from building and structural disciplines.
• Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud or BIM 360 coordination environments, ProjectWise, with knowledge of Revizto considered an advantage.
• Practical application of ISO 19650, including understanding information states, Level of Information Need, and delivery plans.
• Experience with data shortcuts, part catalogues, and object libraries; skills in Dynamo, Python scripting, or ArcGIS add value.
