Omran Tech Group Innovate, Design & Build is a premier architecture and engineering organization operating in Saudi Arabia for the past 18 years.
Role Summary
This full-time, on-site position based in Al Khobar involves managing the entire architectural and engineering design process from inception to completion. The Lead Design Manager ensures all designs meet quality standards, technical accuracy, client expectations, and comply with local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams to deliver architectural and engineering projects.
- Review and approve design drawings and project specifications.
- Oversee design schedules, deliverables, and workflow management.
- Collaborate directly with clients and internal stakeholders to align project objectives.
- Mentor and guide junior design staff to promote professional growth.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to design standards, methodologies, and tools.
- Address and resolve design-related challenges while ensuring regulatory and safety compliance.
Candidate Qualifications
- Extensive expertise in architectural design and familiarity with structural design principles.
- Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM platforms with capability to manage complex design documentation workflows.
- Proven leadership background managing design teams and multidisciplinary stakeholder coordination.
- In-depth knowledge of Saudi Arabia’s local building codes, safety protocols, and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills to handle multiple concurrent projects and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, able to present design ideas and negotiate solutions with clients and internal teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture, Structural Engineering, or related discipline; professional certifications or registration is preferred.
- Experience in engineering consultancy or architectural contracting within the Saudi market is advantageous.
- Must obtain Saudi Engineering Council (SEC) approval with a minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant experience.
