Job Overview

We are searching for an energetic and meticulous Project Manager Assistant to bolster our Project Manager in Qatar. This position involves aiding in the planning, coordination, and execution of civil infrastructure and engineering projects to ensure objectives are completed on time, within budget, and maintaining quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager with planning, scheduling, and coordinating project tasks to facilitate timely completion.
• Track project milestones and generate comprehensive status updates and reports for leadership and stakeholders.
• Contribute to developing and sustaining schedules, budgets, and resource allocation frameworks.
• Coordinate efforts among internal teams, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure project goal alignment.
• Support preparation of project documents such as reports, presentations, correspondence, and meeting records.
• Help identify risks, issues, and challenges in projects; assist in formulating mitigation strategies alongside the Project Manager.
• Enforce company policies, safety protocols, and quality standards throughout all project phases.
• Monitor and verify project deliverables to confirm compliance with client needs and contractual commitments.
• Assist with contract management, procurement processes, and liaison with vendors and consultants.
• Conduct or aid site inspections to assess progress, identify risks, and verify conformity to plans and specifications.
• Perform additional duties as needed to ensure project success.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years professional experience in project management or a closely related field, especially within construction or infrastructure sectors.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure projects including roads, drainage systems, utilities, and related civil works.
• Strong understanding of project management concepts, tools, and methodologies.
• Proficiency with project scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project, and skilled usage of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities capable of juggling multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
• Effective communication skills for interactions with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Analytical mindset and problem-solving aptitude to assist in overcoming project-related challenges and risks.
• Team-oriented approach and ability to collaborate effectively.
• Possession of MME certification in Qatar.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Familiarity with regulations, standards, and permit procedures specific to Qatar and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
• Knowledge of fundamental contract management and procurement practices.
• Professional project management certification such as CAPM or PMP is advantageous.
• Previous work experience within the Middle East or GCC countries is beneficial.
