Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer with over 12 years of specialization in large-scale urban master plan projects focusing on high-rise structures. This role involves critical leadership in managing structural integrity, ensuring adherence to approved designs, and compliance with local regulations, particularly within complex multi-phase urban developments in Saudi Arabia. You will oversee inspection teams, facilitate coordination among diverse stakeholders, and apply advanced engineering expertise to uphold the highest safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive structural inspections across extensive urban master plan projects, verifying structural elements like foundations, bridges, retaining walls, and deep foundation works for conformity to design specifications and standards.
• Ensure appropriate installation of reinforcement, formwork, post-tensioning, grouting, and concrete sequencing in high-rise and multi-building developments.
• Review temporary works designs including falsework, scaffolding, and shoring to confirm structural strength and safety compliance in urban environments.
• Manage the installation accuracy of expansion joints, bearings, drainage, and safety barriers on integrated development sites, ensuring adherence to contractual specifications.
• Analyze and apply Saudi Building Codes and local authority regulations, collaborating with architects, designers, and authorities to resolve design and site-specific issues.
• Supervise and mentor inspection teams during multiple project phases, conduct progress meetings, and audit inspections to guarantee conformity with contract documents and plans.
• Maintain meticulous documentation including daily and weekly progress reports, material tracking, change orders, and as-built drawings across master plan programs.
• Issue Non-Conformance Reports for deviations, recommending corrective measures to uphold quality standards, especially in interconnected high-rise structures.
• Participate in coordination and progress review meetings, providing expert structural engineering advice to address complex site challenges and optimize project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations throughout construction, actively engage in snagging, and oversee project handovers on urban master plan phases.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's degree is preferred.
• Over 12 years' professional experience in structural engineering, inspection, or construction supervision on large-scale projects.
• Proven track record in large urban master plans featuring high-rise construction.
• Deep expertise in structural systems for high-rise buildings, complex foundations, and multi-disciplinary coordination.
• Experience with major structural projects in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi Building Codes and local regulatory requirements.
• Proficient in structural design, construction materials, and advanced building methods.
• Skillful in CAD software and structural analysis tools.
• Extensive experience in quality assurance and quality control practices within complex construction settings.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; Arabic language skills an advantage.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience managing and mentoring inspection teams.
• Advanced problem-solving aptitude with the capability to provide decisive structural recommendations.
• In-depth understanding of Health and Safety regulations and construction best practices.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and detailed record-keeping.
• Familiarity with temporary works, falsework, scaffolding, and shoring system design.
• Preferred qualifications include local authority certifications related to structural engineering in Saudi Arabia and experience in project management within urban development.
