Role Overview

We seek a seasoned and motivated Team Leader to guide both our Front Office and Food & Beverage departments. This position requires a hospitality professional passionate about multi-department coordination, leading by example, and shaping outstanding guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist daily Front Office operations including guest check-in/outs, inquiries, and team support during peak periods.
  • Ensure accuracy in guest accounts, reservations, and room assignments while addressing guest feedback professionally.
  • Collaborate effectively with other hotel departments to maintain high service standards and operational consistency.
  • Guide the Vivant! Restaurant & Bar team, ensuring quality service during all meal periods and enhancing dining experiences.
  • Support new team member training, impart product knowledge, and encourage upselling of food and beverage offerings.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety, liquor licensing, and health and safety requirements throughout operations.
  • Fulfil Duty Manager duties during assigned shifts, overseeing safe and efficient hotel operations including incident response and emergency management.
  • Lead by example by fostering a positive, cooperative team environment focused on exceptional guest satisfaction and Accor's core values.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts and assist onboarding and development initiatives for staff.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • Prior experience in hotel Front Office and/or Food & Beverage departments.
  • Background in supervisory, team leader, or duty manager roles within hospitality.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant, bar, and guest service operations.
  • Current or eligible for Manager's Certificate and LCQ qualification adhering to New Zealand liquor licensing laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities coupled with enthusiasm for hospitality.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and composure in high-pressure situations.
  • Flexibility to work rotating 7-day rosters including mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight shifts.
  • Valid working rights for New Zealand.
