Job description
Role Overview
As a key member of the store management team, the Team Leader assists the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with the day-to-day management of retail store operations.
Daily Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise store team members by offering guidance and support.
- Manage store merchandising, ensuring shelves are stocked and handling shipment unpacking and packing.
- Maintain high customer service standards at all times.
- Carry out manager-on-duty responsibilities including overseeing breaks, timekeeping, and attendance.
- Enforce and uphold visual merchandising guidelines.
- Resolve customer complaints quickly and effectively.
- Ensure the store complies with safety and cleanliness standards.
- Perform cash handling duties and assist in store opening and closing procedures as required.
- Contribute to inventory activities and employee training initiatives.
- Follow through on assigned duties and assist in hiring and managing employee performance.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year of retail experience.
- Between one and two years in a supervisory capacity.
- Demonstrated ambition to advance within the organization.
- Availability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Strong leadership qualities combined with effective communication skills.
- Capacity to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
