Job description
Role Overview
Serving as a key leader within the management team, the Team Leader assists the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in the effective daily management of retail store activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and motivate store associates, offering guidance and support throughout daily operations.
- Manage merchandising efforts, including shelf stocking and handling the unpacking and packing of daily shipments.
- Ensure that high standards of customer service are consistently upheld.
- Carry out manager-on-duty functions such as monitoring breaks, managing timekeeping, and overseeing attendance.
- Apply and maintain store visual merchandising standards to attract customers.
- Handle customer complaints efficiently and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain store safety protocols and cleanliness standards at all times.
- Perform duties related to cash handling, as well as store opening and closing responsibilities when required.
- Engage in inventory management processes and assist in employee onboarding and training.
- Follow up on delegated tasks and assist with recruitment and performance evaluations.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least one year of prior retail experience is necessary.
- Between one to two years’ experience in supervisory capacities.
- Strong desire to advance professionally within the organization.
- Availability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Excellent leadership qualities accompanied by strong communication skills.
- Capability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in busy retail settings.
