Synthesis Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a Synthesis Engineer with over five years of experience to join our team in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. The role involves setting up and validating synthesis environments, optimizing for area and power based on process nodes, and collaborating closely with design and physical design teams to achieve superior synthesis results.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and manage synthesis environments ensuring high-quality synthesis SDC.
• Leverage synthesis tools and methodologies to achieve optimal area and power metrics tailored to specific process nodes.
• Evaluate and improve synthesis DEF quality.
• Analyze groups with critical timing violations and congestion issues, resolving them through fine-tuning floorplans or placement constraints.
• Compare current project area and power figures with previous projects to maintain standards.
• Assist in DFT insertion and troubleshoot basic design-for-test issues.
• Work directly with design and physical design teams to optimize synthesis outcomes.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (minimum 5 years) in synthesis engineering.
• Strong proficiency in low power optimization techniques and clock gating logic power (CLP).
• Hands-on experience in netlist level design quality assessment.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree with a solid background in VLSI technology.
