Job Overview

The Steward position supports the Stewarding Supervisor and Restaurant Outlets by managing cleaning and organization of Food and Beverage equipment and areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Sort soiled ware promptly and properly for dish or pot machine processing;
• Efficiently wash ware and return it to designated storage locations;
• Maintain cleanliness and water levels in dish machines in accordance with hotel standards;
• Operate burnishing machines to polish silverware to the proper finish;
• De-tarnish and polish silverware to ensure proper appearance;
• Clean cooking equipment such as kettles, tilt skillets, pots, and pans thoroughly to support kitchen operations;
• Adhere to attendance policies and maintain regular availability for work;
• Perform additional assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

• Familiarity with service ware handling and maintenance to enhance guest experience;
• Ability to push or pull carts weighing up to 150 pounds, with or without accommodation;
• Capability to transport heavy items through crowded areas, with or without accommodation;
• Ability to lift, carry, or move goods up to 200 pounds using hand carts or trucks, with or without accommodation;
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities;
• Adaptable communication style suitable for interaction with supervisors, coworkers, and guests.

Compensation

The hourly wage is set at $27.20. This position is not eligible for tips, service charges, or discretionary performance bonuses.
