Responsibilities

• Lead and promote a culture centered on project safety, including behaviors and engagement initiatives.
• Identify, assess, and resolve project management challenges during early project phases and FEED stages.
• Address and rectify electrical engineering-related issues.
• Act as the authorized representative of the Owner for communications and coordination with EPC/FEED contractors regarding project activities.
• Review and approve contractor deliverables within stipulated timelines, ensuring compliance with design criteria through analysis of calculations, specifications, plans, investigations, and equipment details with moderate complexity.
• Participate in regular or ad hoc meetings at EPC/FEED contractor engineering and construction offices to monitor project progress.
• Evaluate and endorse contractor deliverables, including critical design documents from suppliers, manufacturers, or subcontractors, integrating owner feedback where necessary.
• Participate in technical meetings involving Owner, Licensor, Contractor, and Vendors.
• Attend diverse project technical sessions conducted by the contractor such as design reviews, 3D model reviews, constructability assessments, SIL, EIA, HAZOP, and HAZID meetings.
• Ensure implementation and maintenance of quality procedures by contractors according to project standards.
• Oversee the accuracy and quality of the contractor's engineering designs, system integration, and choices.
• Manage and supervise contractor work reviews ensuring adherence to owner/project specifications, relevant codes, standards, and industry best practices.
• Coordinate engineering input for development and evaluation of design alternatives and business models to guarantee design optimization and validation.
• Facilitate discipline engineers’ involvement in layout reviews, design assessments, and technical workshops.
• Provide technical support and promote effective coordination among engineering disciplines.
• Lead auditing activities towards contractor performance and ensure implementation of recommended improvements.
• Manage interface coordination among EPC/FEED contractor, owner, and third-party entities.
• Oversee technical evaluations during vendor prequalification, bid reviews, and performance assessments.
• Conduct technical analysis and review of bid submissions.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent from an accredited university.
• At least 15 years of pertinent experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical sector.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role on large-scale Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.
• Demonstrable experience on ADNOC projects is mandatory.
• Proven offshore project experience required.
• Prior involvement in PMC roles is advantageous.
• Experience in FEED and EPC project phases is essential.
