Electrical Engineer (MMUP/UPDA Grade A)

Overview

We are seeking a certified Electrical Engineer holding a Qatar MMUP/UPDA Grade A registration with valid residency status. Only candidates meeting this mandatory certification requirement will be considered. Applications must include an updated CV and proof of MMUP/UPDA Grade A registration.

Core Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively within the team to ensure smooth integration and coordination.
• Analyze and implement contractual and normative documentation.
• Handle technical tasks related to equipment and electrical materials, including sizing studies, technical specifications, requisitions, material take-off (MTO), technical bid assessments, and ensuring compliance with purchase order milestones for timely information and equipment delivery.
• Coordinate effectively with related disciplines such as Purchasing, Inspection, and Projects within the Electrical Department.
• Supervise and guide team members under the direction of the Electrical Team Leader.
• Ensure proficient utilization of management tools including SmartPlant Materials (Marian), Document Management System (Documentum), and VDDR & IAP.
• Support proposal development by collaborating on cost estimations, preparation of MTOs for equipment and material installations, and compiling deviations and clarifications lists.
• Assist design management by supporting team leader and identifying and communicating any challenges encountered during project execution.
• Promote transparent information sharing to facilitate project performance excellence.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of valid MMUP/UPDA First Category Engineer registration in Qatar.
• At least 12 to 15 years of pertinent engineering experience, with significant exposure within Qatar or the GCC region.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering within a relevant field.
• Extensive engineering and project management experience on major projects, with a preference for those previously executed in Qatar.
• Strong familiarity with Qatar engineering standards, regulations, and project demands.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and technical aptitude.
