Rentmigo.co.uk is an early-stage PropTech startup focused on revolutionizing how renters in the UK access financial products. The company has successfully partnered with about one-third of the institutional UK build-to-rent market and is currently live with real users. Its platform enables renters to develop credit histories and accumulate wealth through their monthly rental payments.
Role Overview
As the third engineer on the team, you will take full ownership of the company's modern TypeScript-based technology stack. You will be responsible for end-to-end feature development using Next.js App Router and Server Actions, playing an essential role in shaping a product that is quickly gaining market traction. This position offers the opportunity to directly impact the UK rental financial system as a highly autonomous and product-focused engineer.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the entire lifecycle of features from ideation through production deployment, making significant architectural and technical decisions.
- Build and enhance core platform components leveraging Next.js, TypeScript, and Node.js to deliver high-performing and user-friendly solutions.
- Ensure code quality by developing comprehensive testing suites using Playwright and Vitest, and automate deployment workflows with GitHub Actions.

Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 3 years professional experience working extensively with Next.js App Router (version 13.4+) and Server Components at production scale.
- Proficient full-stack TypeScript development experience covering React and Node.js ecosystems, with specific knowledge of Drizzle ORM and PostgreSQL.
- A strong commitment to testing-first development practices and proven effectiveness in rapidly evolving startup contexts that prioritize shipping valuable features quickly.
Additional Information
This position is based onsite in London, United Kingdom. The salary range offered is £75,000 to £100,000 annually plus equity in the company.
