This position is ideal for a hands-on professional with a strong software engineering foundation who thrives in defining modern cloud-native architectures, guiding technical strategy, and collaborating closely with both clients and technical teams to address sophisticated business problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Defining and advancing software architecture strategies across large enterprise delivery programs.
• Engaging with clients to gather requirements and transform business needs into scalable technical frameworks.
• Leading architectural decisions involving cloud-native, distributed, and event-driven system designs.
• Establishing technical standards, design patterns, and development guidelines for delivery teams.
• Developing architecture artifacts such as C4 diagrams, architectural decision records (ADRs), and technical documentation.
• Ensuring platform scalability, resilience, observability, and adherence to non-functional requirements.
• Supporting continuous platform enhancement, framework updates, and release scheduling.
• Collaborating extensively with developers, QA specialists, DevOps engineers, and product teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Advocating for CI/CD best practices and modern software engineering methodologies.
• Monitoring software quality, managing technical debt, and maintaining codebase sustainability.
• Handling technical issue triage and providing support for large-scale production systems.
• Clearly communicating complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Mentoring engineers and fostering architectural maturity throughout the organization.
• Leading technical workshops, shaping solutions, and participating in client-focused technical discussions.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 12 years of practical software development experience with significant advancement into architecture or technical leadership roles.
• At least 5 years functioning as a Software Architect, Lead Architect, or Technical Lead on enterprise-level systems.
• Proficient in contemporary .NET frameworks or Java/Spring Boot technologies.
• Experience designing cloud-native applications within public cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
• In-depth knowledge of microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, and modern software design patterns.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery environments; strong collaboration with DevOps and QA teams.
• Understanding of critical non-functional requirements including scalability, performance, resilience, security, and observability.
• Demonstrated experience supporting and enhancing large active production systems.
• Excellent stakeholder management capabilities and client interaction skills.
• Competence in producing architectural documentation including C4 diagrams and decision records.
• Ability to explain architectural decisions and trade-offs effectively to diverse audiences.
• Experience mentoring and guiding developers, technical leads, or engineering teams.

Work Location and Schedule

This position is based in Dublin, Ireland, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring two days per week on-site.
