About Chipotle and the Role
Chipotle Mexican Grill aims to redefine fast food by delivering quality, responsibly sourced meals rapidly, coupled with a commitment to better food access and sustainable practices. The Service Leader plays a vital role in maintaining an excellent guest experience by ensuring safe, quality food preparation and exemplary customer service, while managing a well-trained and organized restaurant crew.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to company policies while ensuring food served is flavorful and meets high quality standards
- Address and resolve any food quality concerns effectively
- Uphold food safety protocols including hand washing, glove usage, monitoring food temperatures, shelf life, and daily food safety checklists
- Manage customer incidents to secure positive outcomes
- Oversee crew scheduling, breaks, shift meetings, and line operations
- Develop and cross-train front-of-house team members
- Assist in crew performance evaluations and cultivate future service leaders
- Handle office administrative duties such as cash handling, banking, paperwork, and supply inventory
- Ensure office equipment functionality and coordinate ordering of necessary supplies
Candidate Requirements
- Understanding and ability to communicate Chipotle's Food With Integrity philosophy
- Experience and knowledge of cash handling procedures
- Familiarity with food safety standards and relevant health regulations
- Comfort with routine office paperwork
- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the primary language(s) of the work location
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a restaurant environment
- Availability to work at least four days weekly, including at least two weekend days (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday); open to any 8-hour shifts on those days
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 32 hours per week of work
