Role Overview
The Service Leader plays a key role in ensuring customers have a positive experience by overseeing safe preparation and quality of food, while ensuring the restaurant team is well-trained and delivers excellent service. This role requires active physical presence during shifts unless on break, with an expectation to assist in various tasks when not immediately engaged.
Primary Responsibilities
- Adhere strictly to Chipotle's policies and procedures.
- Ensure that food served is delicious and meets high-quality standards.
- Address and resolve any issues related to food quality promptly.
- Support food safety protocols including enforcing hand washing, glove changes, monitoring line time and temperature, checking secondary shelf lives, and completing daily food safety checklists.
- Manage customer concerns effectively to maintain positive experiences.
- Oversee crew activities such as breaks, shift transitions, meetings, and line scheduling.
- Train and cross-train front of house team members.
- Assist in conducting performance reviews for crew members.
- Mentor and develop potential future Service Leaders.
- Handle administrative tasks including banking, cash handling, and paperwork.
- Maintain office equipment and order supplies as needed.
- Ensure adequate inventory of supplies for optimal operations.
Candidate Qualifications
- Understanding and ability to explain Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
- Experience with cash handling policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and health department standards.
- Familiarity with office paperwork management.
- Proficiency in speaking, writing, reading, and understanding the primary language(s) at the workplace.
- Minimum education of a high school diploma.
- Previous restaurant experience.
- Availability to work at least four days per week, including two days on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, with willingness to accept any assigned eight-hour shift.
- Ability to work a minimum of 32 hours weekly.
